Soay Sheep Tails
Why Docking Is Not Necessary!
Soay sheep have naturally short tails, they are one of a number of breeds in the Northern Short Tailed Sheep group, which do not require docking.  Docking is the cutting of a lamb's tail to prevent it from becoming encrusted with feces and then becoming riddled with flies and their larvae.  Docking is an unpleasant chore that Soay sheep breeders thankfully do not need to do, because this ancient breed lifts their short tails when they "gotta go" and therefore keep them clean.  Because man has not messed with this breed much, Mother Nature's natural design is still functioning as it was meant to!
