At Greener Pastures Farm we occasionally have pasture raised lamb available, often with a waiting list and repeat customers who swear our lamb is better than any they have ever tasted.  We agree!  Our sheep are Cascade Farmstead sheep, derived from ancient primitive breeds that do not taste like mutton, but actually closely resembles young elk in flavor. In addition, our lamb is a smaller size easily cut up on the kitchen counter and perfect for city dwellers without much freezer space. Our lamb will fit in the freezer above your fridge.

We never feed grain to our sheep; they receive only our lush pastures and local grass hay, with the addition of alfalfa hay when the pasture growth slows.  You can taste the difference!  Our meat lambs never receive hormones, antibiotics or any of the other garbage often found in commercial lamb and other meats.  Visit EatWild for more information about what you need to know about buying lamb direct from farmers.
