GREENER PASTURES HYDRANGEA
Greener Pastures Hydrangea was born a twin in 2010.
Her brother lives in Minnesota. Hydrangea produced a
ewe lamb in 2011, and her daughter already lives in
Massachusetts.
Hydrangea has even and attractive horns, a lovely face,
good conformation and a typical brown fleece. Her fleece
shed off nicely on the back end and would have benefitted
from a little help earlier in the summer on the front end.
Price lowered from $600 to $400
GREENER PASTURES JITTERBUG
Greener Pastures Jitterbug is a 2-year-old Cascade
Farmstead ewe.
Jitterbug produced a single lamb in 2010, and produced
twins in 2011.
Like Hydrangea above, Jitterbug rooed (shed) cleanly
on the back half, and would have benefitted from a bit
of assistance in removing the front half.
The rams in Jitterbug's lineage are/were handsome with
very wide horns. Two of her great-grandmothers were
polled, and five of her great-great-grandmothers were
polled.
Price lowered from $600 to $400
GREENER PASTURES NASTURTIUM
Greener Pastures Nasturtium is a yearling
Cascade Farmstead ewe.
Nasturtium was born a twin, appears to be
polled at this time, and has rooed off (shed
her fleece) completely.
Nasturtium produced a ram lamb in 2011,
and her son is a flock sire in Massachusetts.
Her twin sister is remaining in my flock.
Price lowered from $600 to $400
NO LONGER AVAILABLE. But... her
twin sister is.
GREENER PASTURES SASSAFRASS
Greener Pastures Sassafrass was born a twin in 2010 to a pinto
colored ewe.
Sassafrass carries in her plain brown wrapping the ability to
produce some wild colors if put to the right ram.
It appeared that Sassafrass might not roo well, but we discovered
yesterday her fleece is ready to peel off like a banana peel. We
were rushing to finish photos before the heat became too much for
us and the sheep, so we left her fleece on for now, but you can see
below where I lifted up the back of her fleece.
Sassafrass produce a lovely ewe lamb in 2011. I would like to keep
Miss Sass, but Flock Reduction requires that she go.
Price lowered from $600 to $400
GREENER PASTURES VALERIAN
Greener Pastures Valerian is a polled 3-year-old
Cascade Farmstead ewe. She is an excellent mother.
Valerian had a minor accident when she was a small
lamb, which tore the fleshy part of her ear.
Valerian's twin lambs born this year are both taking their
places as breeding stock on 2 different farms. Her oldest
son, 2-year-old Jumping Jack Flash, remains here to
become a flock sire. Valerian's grand-daughter is
Greener Pastures La Vie En Rose.
