Greener Pastures Marigold was born in April of this year and is stunningly beautiful.  Again, I'm parting with Marigold reluctantly, but I'm keeping her twin sister; Lavender.  Both girls have an almost lavender cast to their grey fleece at this time.  Marigold is from the ALPHA bloodline.

Greener Pastures Verbena is one of a set of triplet ewes!  Again, I'm parting with Verbena reluctantly, but I'm keeping one of her sisters that looks just like her, and the other sister that is scurred.  Verbena is from the BETA bloodline.
CASCADE FARMSTEAD SHEEP FOR SALE

We have a starter flock of Cascade Farmstead sheep available at this time, consisting of one yearling ewe and 2 ewe lambs. We have 2 or 3 rams available to choose from.

I will include a paragraph about each ewe.  Place your mouse over each photo for captions and names.  Each of the sires was selected for good health, good conformation, good horns, reliable rooing (shedding) ability.  Each sheep that is for sale is in bold italics.

SALE PENDING: ALL SHEEP LISTED ARE RESERVED!

Greener Pastures Foxglove is a yearling Cascade ewe with pretty horns and a dark and fine fleece.  She has shed most of her fleece as of today with no assistance from us.  She produced a beautiful daughter in April; exactly 149 days after exposure to her suitor; Greener Pastures Gentian.  (Gentian is available, unrelated to Foxglove, and is pictured below.)  Foxglove was born a twin; her brother had badgerfaced coloring much like Avens, and Foxglove's dam is also a badgerface, so we know Foxglove can pass this along when bred to the right ram.  I am parting with Foxglove reluctantly, but am keeping her lovely daughter who looks exactly like her. Foxglove is from the ALPHA bloodline.

Greener Pastures Gentian is a dark mouflon yearling ram with nice horns who successfully bred all 3 ewe lambs he was given last fall, and they each produced a beautiful lamb this spring, including Foxglove's daughter shown below.  Gentian is from the BETA bloodline.

An adult Cascade ram, Greener Pastures Gentian, is mentioned above, near Foxglove. Gentian is from the BETA bloodline, and is not closely related to any of the above ewes.

All ewe lambs and ram lambs are capable of breeding this fall; and while flukes can happen, we have had 100% success.

I guarantee the horns of my rams.  If the horns do not clear his face with room to spare, I will replace him free of charge.  This guarantee does not include transportation costs.

Each sheep listed here is priced at $200, and comes with a Registration Certificate with a 5-generation pedigree with all the details I have learned are important to a practical farmer.

Greener Pastures Zingiber and Zenobia at 10 weeks of age. July 2008
Another ram option is Greener Pastures Zenobia or Zingiber, two brothers from another set of triplets (I'm keeping their sister; Zinnia).  All are blonde and gorgeous.  One of these boys is bigger than the other, and I will certainly part with the nicest of them.  These triplets are from the ALPHA bloodline, and are related to Foxglove and Marigold, but not related to Verbena.
Greener Pastures Indigo & Juniper at 12 weeks of age. July 2008
Greener Pastures Tarragon, shown above, is not available at this time...  I need to watch his horns to see if they are going to be too tight.  I left Tarragon in the photo above to give some perspective on the color of Marigold and Lavender.

One ram to consider is Greener Pastures Juniper.  I am only willing to part with him because I'm keeping his twin brother.  Juniper's twin brother Indigo was born black mouflon and has faded to a dark brown mouflon. Juniper is unrelated to the girls mentioned above. Indigo will be part of my breeding program this fall.  Both Indigo and Juniper are from the BETA bloodline, and are not closely related to any of the above ewes.

Greener Pastures Quince was born a twin this spring; his twin sister is the cutie pie with the white face and stockings shown in 2 of the photos below.  There is lots of potential for color and markings in Quince!  Quince is from the BETA bloodline and is unrelated to the above ewes.
