Day old goslings checking out their world. April 24, 2003
Young Miss hatched out her first goslings the day before, and brought them out to enjoy the sun and grass.  She had been sitting on 10 eggs, and hatched out 9 of them.  I found one egg had been rolled out of the nest when she left it, and I trust her judgment!  Gus is a very devoted daddy, and both are quite
protective of their new family.
